SEMS group holds inaugural student poster event
The SEMS group held its first PhD student poster event on 23rd February 2018. Around 20 PhD students displayed posters on a diverse range of topics. The event was attended by academics and research staff from the group. The interactive event included prizes for best poster in two categories.
The 0-18 month category was won by Joseph Hillier, with his poster entitled "Silicon quantum dot device technologies for spin-based quantum information processing applications via spin-blockade".
The 18 months and over category was won by Alberto Rodriguez Arreola, for his poster entitled "Intermittently-Powered Energy-Harvesting Wearable Devices". The winners were presented with their awards by Prof Steve Beeby, Head of Group.
